Eyes On The Prize is a handbuilt, two-part ceramic trophy and plinth that fit together to form this playful piece.
I created this trophy while deep in the throes on pregnancy fatigue in 2025. I found myself using bakery treats to motivate myself to complete tasks. So while ‘Eyes on the Prize’ is absolutely about keeping the ‘prize’ of a baby in view while trying to get though the day, it is just as much about the joy of croissants.
Medium: ceramic, underglaze, glaze, lustre, epoxy clay, jewellery findings.
This piece is fully glazed inside and out and water tight.
Measurements: 53cm height total, approx 15cm base diameter.
